Is this possible?
Could we actually think and live clutter free?
It’s something I’ve dreamed off since I was first married. The idea of a tidy, organized home with labeled boxes and organized shelves has been a vision dancing around in my head. Some dream of sugar plums, I dream of order and structure. Sadly my home is not quite as organized as I would like. This likely has to do with the fact that I am a living breathing human being. In order to be as organized as I might like I would have to sacrifice the important things. The living, the playing and relating. That is, I thought it would until I was introduced to the book “Organize Now! Think & Live Clutter-Free by Jennifer Ford Berry.
Since I have read the book I’ve found myself thinking of ways I can daily make small changes that impact our life. The book is laid out in such a way that each week a new topic and task is given as an assignment of sorts to work on and as the year progresses you travel towards a clutter free existence. One of the things I appreciated about the book was it’s ability to view clutter not just as material but also as emotional. We all carry some baggage and issues that clutter our minds and lives and it’s important to work through it to help us live peaceful, happy, fruitful lives.
I’ve really enjoyed going through the book and looking at the ways I can make some changes in my life. Because I don’t think it’s fair for me to benefit from these tips alone, I’ve arranged for a giveaway of the book on the blog. Think of it as your pre-Christmas preparation. A chance to prepare and plan before the madness begins. If you’d like a copy of the book, leave a comment below the post telling us why and one of the lucky entrants will win a copy of “Organize Now! Think and Live Clutter Free”. The giveaway ends next Tuesday and I will announce the winner next Wednesday on the blog when I tell you a little more about how the practices in the book have helped us in our life at home. So far I’m really enjoying the tips and can’t wait to try a few more out in the coming days and weeks.
I was given a copy of Organize Now! Think and Live Clutter Free to read and review. The opinions expressed in the above post are my own and have not been influenced in any way by the organizers of the blog tour or the author of the book.
