This is our son, X.
He’s two years old.
When he was 2 days old he had surgery for a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia.
At two weeks old he had pneumonia.
Two weeks after that he was home.
Two weeks after that our Christmas tree went up.
I’m not exactly sure what we were doing two weeks after that as let’s face it, there was little to no sleep happening at that time.
This week we visited his surgeon who had been on the job for 2 weeks when he operated on X. He marveled at how well he was doing. While we were at the hospital we had a chest X-Ray done and found out that he has 2 working lungs. While one is only 1/2 size, we’re pretty excited about that.
X. is pretty special.
He likes things a certain sort of way.
He has two Curious George blankets.
He eats breakfast in two parts.
He carries around two cars as he goes through the day.
He’s kind of like a modern day Noah.
We’re pretty proud of him and his two lungs.
It’s been a good week.
